Tell us about it! That "million-to-one" scientifically illiterate crap has been demolished over and over on genetically knowledgable websites (including this one).
I have reluctantly come to the realization that journalists constantly ask themselves the question, "Do you want to sell copy or do you want to be factually accurate?" and that the question is merely another way of asking: "Do you want to take the kids to Disney World next summer or do you want to be unemployed?" Sad, but that's life. |
